Payment Terms
All registrations require at minimum a 50% deposit of registration fees for multi-day residential retreats and $500 deposit of registration fees for monthlong retreats. 100% of fees are due 30 days prior to retreat start for multi-day residential retreats and 45 days prior to retreat start for monthlong retreats. In case of a problem with processing a final payment 30 days prior to retreat or 45 days prior to a monthlong retreat, retreatants have 48 hours to update their payment method and submit final payments before their registration is cancelled.
Multi-day Residential Retreat Cancellations
All registrations for residential retreats (besides monthlong retreats) include a non-refundable deposit of $100 (1-3 night retreats) or $200 (4+ night retreats).
In 2024-2025, Southern Dharma does not provide refunds of registration payments for retreat cancellations made 30 days or less before the retreat begins.
For cancellations made more than 30 days before the retreat begins, Southern Dharma retains or charges a non-refundable cancellation fee. Beginning in 2024-2025, non-refundable cancellation fees will be based on the number of retreat nights:
Monthlong Retreat Cancellations
All registrations for monthlong retreats include a non-refundable deposit of $500.
In 2024-2025, Southern Dharma does not provide refunds of registration payments for retreat cancellations made 45 days or less before a monthlong retreat begins.
For cancellations made more than 45 days before the retreat begins, Southern Dharma retains or charges the non-refundable $500 cancellation fee.
Emergency Cancellations
In case of documented medical emergencies 30 days or less before a retreat begins, or 45 days or less before a monthlong retreat begins, retreatants may request registration payments be converted to personal credit for future use. Requests must be submitted via email to [email protected] and must include an explanation of the emergency circumstances. Southern Dharma reserves the right to approve or deny these requests.
In case of a documented positive Covid test from within 72 hours of retreat start or upon arrival, the cancellation fee is retained and the remaining amount is transferred to personal credit for future use.
Daylong Program Cancellations
In 2024-2025, Southern Dharma does not provide refunds of registration payments for daylong programs. In case of documented medical emergencies, retreatants may request registration payments for daylong programs be converted to personal credit for future use. Southern Dharma reserves the right to approve or deny these requests.
Retreat Transfers
If you request to transfer from one retreat to another (more than 30 days before the start of the retreat you are registered for or more than 45 days before the start of a monthlong retreat) there will be a $50 transfer fee. In some situations a transfer may not be possible and normal cancellation procedures and fees will apply. Transfers are not possible 30 days or less than 30 days before the start of your retreat, or 45 days or less than 45 days before the start of your monthlong retreat.

Transfers to Personal Credit
If you would like to cancel your registration and keep your fees with us as personal credit towards a future program (more than 30 days before the start of the retreat you are registered for, or more than 45 days before the start of a monthlong retreat), there will be a $50 transfer fee. In some situations a transfer of fees to personal credit may not be possible and normal cancellation procedures and fees will apply. Transfers to personal credit are not possible 30 days or less than 30 days before the start of your retreat, or 45 days or less than 45 days before the start of your monthlong retreat.
Use of Personal Credit
Personal credit must be applied to a new program registration within 365 of days of the transfer to personal credit, at which point the credit expires. To inquire about your personal credit, apply your personal credit to a new registration, or create a new registration using personal credit, email [email protected].
