Meditation Through the Art of Movement
September 28 - October 1, 2019
In this four day-three night retreat, you will explore the flow of chi energy through slow and gentle movements. In Won Buddhist practice, mind and body are integrated. Useful warming-up movements, as well as Qi-gong and Tai-Chi postures for beginners and intermediate level practitioners will be introduced. This retreat will center on the techniques of DahnJon Breathing, Warm Heart-Supple Body, and Ten Stage (ShipSang) movements. These are based on the ancient Taoist tradition for cultivating a vibrant life force. Periods of quiet sitting and reflection in nature will balance our days. During the retreat, there will be opportunities for receiving individual coaching. Teachers of yoga or meditation can incorporate these lessons when guiding people in their practice.
