Bart van Melik

Bart van Melik (he/him) is the guiding teacher at the Community Meditation Center in New York City. Trained by Joseph Goldstein, Carol Wilson, and Gregory Kramer, Bart has been teaching meditation globally since 2009. With a deep commitment to making mindfulness accessible, he brings the practice to diverse communities, including veterans and teens in NYC public schools. Passionate about helping others navigate life’s challenges with creativity, playfulness, and diligence, Bart is also a contributing author of the book, Still, in the City: Creating Peace of Mind in the Midst of Urban Chaos (Skyhorse, 2018). Originally from Holland, he continues to inspire others on their journey toward inner peace.
